Six graduate students pose with their tower of marshmallows and toothpicks
The challenge? Build a tower more stable and taller than all the rest. The tools? Toothpicks and marshmallows. In 10 minutes, this team managed to build a 45-centimetre tower that resulted in a Waterfront Welcome Victory. Congrats! Photo by Maxine Gravina

A Waterfront Welcome to McMaster

More than 300 new graduate students made their way to Hamilton's Pier 7 for a waterfront welcome at Sarcoa Restaurant. The afternoon agenda included some words of welcome, meeting new friends, enjoying some very tasty hor d'oeuvres, designing and building a graduate tower, catching some Pokemon, and snapping some really cool pictures of Hamilton's beautiful waterfront.
