McMaster Global Justice Collaboratory Workshop: Diversity and Inclusion

This day-long event provides participants with the opportunity to meet and learn from a range of individuals interested in global justice, to form connections, and to begin to develop plans for meaningful action and advocacy.

The day begins with a keynote address on the topic of diversity, reconciliation, and justice by Bonny Ibhawoh, Professor of History and Associate Dean (Graduate Studies and Research) for the Faculty of Humanities.

Following that, participants will work in pre-selected teams to discuss and develop ideas for responding to related sub-topics, such as ‘global justice in the age of Trump,’ ‘resistance to injustice and exclusion,’ and ‘the global refugee crisis.’ When you register for the event, you have an opportunity to select topics on which you’d be interested in working.

The sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 9 p.m. on campus. Faculty members from the DeGroote School of Business will lead sessions on business fundamentals and real-world management problems. Admission is limited to 60 participants and the course fills up quickly.
